    Mentor Volunteer

    Could you be a Mentor?

Mentoring is about one person providing support, in an objective way, in order to help another to achieve something.

Our volunteer mentors support their mentee through the provision of emotional support, as well as practical support around seeking workplace opportunities, accessing housing, education, training etc.

Mentors do not necessarily need to be experts, or even particularly experienced within this field, the most important aspect of being able to mentor is the ability to demonstrate the skills of mentorship in a non-judgemental way.

All M.A.L.S Merseyside asks for in their volunteer mentors is honestly, a non-judgemental attitude and commitment.

It does not matter if you feel like you do not have enough life experience, have a criminal record or cannot work many hours in the week, we are interested to hear from you!

As a volunteer mentor, you will receive free training to become a qualified mentor. Our lead mentor will match you up with a mentee, and you will arrange to meet with them at a time suitable for you.

Become a Volunteer with Mals Merseyside

Just a few hours here and there make a massive difference in our clients lives!

Mals LogoIf you would like to help us with our fun activity days out, to support and mentor our clients; we are always looking for volunteers at Mals Merseyside. It’s very easy to get started. Fill in the form on the right to get things started.

Many of our younger clients rarely get a chance to go very far from their neighbourhoods. Some neighbourhoods are places most of us would like to have a day away from. Also by taking these young people under our wing, whilst they are with us, they are not at risk from others, or in some unfortunate cases, from themselves.

As you can see, there is always a real need to put on as many activities as our funds permit. As well as the money, we need your help, we need volunteers, we need you!

Fill in the form on the right. Volunteering can be fun. The impact it can have on our young clients is very evident when you see the changes in them when they are simply doing what many youngsters take for granted.
