How To Add Content To The Mals Website

I hope you like the website. I have built something that I hope will grow into a Behemoth in the personal development field within the next few years. I am probably the most boring person on the planet; so I need help to keep people engaged and excited about personal development and not comatose. I am therefore asking for your help.

You do not need to be a Pulitzer prize winner to add content to this website, you just need a tip or nugget of information that can help people in some way. Then you need to be able to make it appear on this website. It was with this in mind that I developed this incarnation of the Mals Merseyside website.

So how do you put content on the website then?

We are in “beta” at the moment. The website became live at 12:31hrs on Saturday 25th March. Depending on when you read this, some of the functionality will be already available to you. Also, I will be creating PDF download instructions and online walk-through videos on the videoboard page.

    These are the steps:

    1. Register to create a user account.
    2. Once approved you will be given an access level and login information.
    3. You will receive a confirmation email.
    4. You can then post material to your heart’s content!*

    * To begin with, every new user will need to have two approved contributions which will be manually reviewed before they are published live. Why? To stop people spamming others to trying to do harm to our website. It happens.

There will need to be some limits. The size of videos, or photos; there is a limit of 30MB and 7MB respectively. If you have a large file you want to upload; or if you have any technical problems, email me at leslie@lesliejfletcher.com

I have compression software and a lot of technical knowledge. Also don’t worry, you cannot break the website. The access user experience (UX) is very specific and the site is backed up every day. Don’t be worried about getting involved, I will be delighted if you do.

As this is obviously very early days, I will update this post soon and provide video tutorials to help you get going. As Manuel used to say in Fawlty Towers; “eventually!” Send me an email or fill in this form in the meantime.
